Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.

Strategies to support student wellbeing
Implemented in 2024 the Resilience project promotes building resilience through:
Positive emotions and mental health using the key pillars of:
- Gratitude
- Empathy
- Mindfulness
- Emotional literacy
Life Skills GO combines student voice, early identification, and real-time data in one intelligent whole-school platform.
The program aims to improve school wellbeing and academic results, increase resilience, self-regulation and problem-solving skills, foster growth mindsets, build self-awareness and emotional intelligence, and establish positive-relationship skills. Life Skills Go provides guided activities, lesson materials, animations and assessments.
The Meeters and Greeters program aims to help build a stronger school community, encourage student leadership and ensure everyone feels welcome and safe at school. This initiative creates a warm, welcoming environment each morning in the school playground.
Students selected for this program, as a representative of their year group, and are recognized in their potential while demonstrating social-emotional skills and modelling the school's values each day.
Year 1 are 'Ready, Set .... Life Skills GO"
