Professor Jennie Hudson is the Director of the Centre for Emotional Health within the Department of Psychology, Macquarie University. Jennie's research focuses on understanding the factors that contribute to children's emotional health and working to improve the services available to children experiencing anxiety and other emotional disorders. She is an author of the internationally renowned Cool Kids program, an evidence-based program for managing anxiety problems in children and young people.
Jennie's presentation provided parents with information on anxiety problems in primary school aged children. She discussed how to know if your child's fears and worries are normal, when to seek help, and what strategies you can put in place to set them on the right track.
